Today, I have a hair mist review for you. Around Christmas time I was at Macy's and saw Carolina Herrera had a new hair mist out. It was the very last one at the store, and the associate told me they were not getting any more in stock. I knew I had to get it right then and there because I had my eye on it for a while. Carolina Herrera is well known for her amazing "Good Girl" fragrance in the classic high heel bottle, so I figured her "Good Girl" hair mist would be just as good. Was I correct?! Read the full review below to find out.
Notes:
"Expand your Good Girl beauty ritual of glamour with Good Girl Hair Mist, a luxurious hairspray that leaves hair instantly nourished, glossy and beautifully scented. The original Good Girl fragrance, an iconic scent and alluring combination of light and dark notes, is inspired by the duality of the modern woman. Her complex nature is designed into a fragrant mist specifically for hair, an added layer of beauty. The sweet, alluring qualities of jasmine bring Good Girl a bright femininity. Richly fragrant cocoa and intoxicating Tonka express Good Girl's mysterious side, while almond and coffee bring notes of bold vibrancy."
Fragrance Family: Floral
Key Notes:
Top Notes: Sambac Jasmine & Tuberose crystal
Middle Notes: Velvet Almond
Base Notes: Tonka bean, Cocoa & Coffee bean
Where To Purchase:
Longevity:
I would say this hair mist lasts 2 hours at most. It is very powerful when you first spray it in your hair, but then it goes away so quickly. You can definitely tell it is a floral scent because the jasmine and crystal are very strong. The almond is the second most powerful scent I smell. It is very subtle. I do not smell the cocoa or beans at all.
Projection:
Very nice projection. It is strong for the 2-hour time period, but not too strong where it will give you a headache. People around me can smell it instantly, especially if I just sprayed it in my hair, and they smell a strong floral scent of jasmine as well. Great projection if you sprayed it on your head less then 2 hours ago, cannot stress that enough.
Value:
This hair mist is $40 for 1-oz. You may think that is not very much; however, it will take you awhile to get through the mist because you only need to spray it 2-3 times in your hair. The bottle and the box are so beautiful and elegant, that it really adds to the value. I love the long high heel with the colors blue and gold. The heel is very sturdy too, so it will not break easily if you drop it on the floor, or it falls off the sink. Also, you just simply remove the blue bottle from the top to open it.
Scent: 10/10
Longevity: 6/10
Presentation: 10/10
Projection: 7/10
Value: 8/10
All in all, I recommend this hair mist for going on a date, going on vacation or going dancing. I do not recommend it for day-to-day use, like going to school or work. You just simply do not need it for that. The price is a little much for a hair mist that does not last very long. I think if it was priced at $25 instead of $40 then more consumers would buy it. I also just like the bottle as a piece of décor too next to my perfumes. Overall, I am glad I bought it because I will save it, and only use it for special occasions. That is how I recommend using it, so you don't run out of it quickly, and need to buy another one.
Xoxo,
Chey
